What is Gymnastics MST?

Mental Skills Training provides gymnasts with mental tools and techniques that can be integrated directly into competitions and help them elevate their performances in their routines.

Gymnastics MST includes, but is not limited, to helping you:

- understand the journey (of self-improvement)
- develop a pre-competition routine and pre-event routine that includes both physical and mental preparation
- learn how to be present and mindful when you perform
- stay calm and loose
- stay positive and manage expectations
- recover strongly after a temporary setback
- overcome any mental blocks
- build your confidence
- connect more with your love of gymnastics and having fun
- learn how to energize
- use visualization including preparing a script/audio for each of your routines
- learn how to reflect effectively on your performances
- communicate well with your coach
- set training and competition performance goals
